    Description

    What we have here is a clean and running American Flyer No. 312 4-6-2 K-5 Steam Engine that was made in 1948. This particular version was only made in 1948 with the open wheel trailing truck and the link coupler with the brass weight. This one is complete and all original and has been tested. It smoked and reversed above average and ran well. All tender steps are present as all all of the intricate handrails as well as the hook at the top of the ladder at the back of the tender. The lettering on the tender is great, but weaker as is common for the engines from this year. It is readable, just weak. I'll grade the engine at C-7 This would be a great engine to add to your lay-out or collection during these difficult times that is giving many of us more time to play with our trains. It is great to have a hobby like playing with trains at this time. Don't let this one get away. Have fun bidding on this engine. BP.

    The train shows are returning. During the season I do various trains shows in the Midwest including the monthly Great Midwest Train Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Chicago as well as the two TCA Shows in York, PA along with some Great Train Shows. If you feel that our paths are going to cross at one of these shows and you want the trains hand-delivered that would be fine to help you save on postage. Still, pay for the item at the time of purchase here on Ebay, but no postage costs. I will be at the DuPage County Fairgrounds show in the Chicago area on Aug. 8 and at the Dayton, Ohio Great Train Expo on Aug. 14-15. I will do all the DuPage County shows in the fall, but am still working on schedules for other shows.
