Antique Letterpress printer Hamilton wood plank TYPE TRAY & identity slot handle

Description

This antique type tray for sale has a strong wood plank back and a long metal handle with an identity slot and tag on the handle that was used back in the day to show a printer what was in the drawer without opening it up.  This tray has some stains on the backing giving a beautiful rustic look.  The top is painted green and has an "8-B" written with black marker.  This is more than 100 years old because it has wooden planks for the back (as seen in picture 11 & 12) which is a trait of very old type trays. This type tray can now be used to make a beautiful display by itself or add various items to your hearts delight to bring beauty and memories into your decor. The measurements for this type tray are 16 5/8" tall x 32" wide x 1" deep.
