    Description

    Up for auction is a used Buffet Crampon BC4052 model granadilla wood oboe with third octave key.  All keys move freely and the pads/corks are in good condition. There are no cracks present or repaired and no bore issues. This oboe has minor scratches throughout from normal use and the key plating wear is minimal, with 99% of plating intact.  The serial number is in the lower 22,xxx range.  This oboe plays fine now, but may require minor adjustments after delivery and for personal playing preference.  Included is a gently used Buffet wood shell oboe case.
    The BC4052 is the intermediate oboe designed for advanced students to prepare them for the professional models. Made of granadilla wood, the bore design is based on the professional oboe. It is lined with a luracast coating (an epoxy resin) to resist cracking. Key of C. Granadilla wood body, full conservatory system without the split ring Eb-E trill key, and silver-plated keys. Fish skin pads on the upper joint and cork pads on the lower joint make for perfect air tightness.
    This key of C semi-automatic conservatory model features a French fingering system with silver-plated keywork that includes a 3rd octave key, fork F, double G# and Eb key, double C# trill key, left F-lever, and a low Bb resonance key.
