This is a Professional Oboe I purchased in 2017, but never got the opportunity to use.
It was valued at 5,800 USD and maintains that value, as it is a first class Oboe. It has been completely unused for the 3 1/2 years I have owned it.
The condition is impeccable. The wood and silver fittings are completely intact. No cracks or splits. The silver has some natural dullness (no tarnish discoloration), but it is a beautiful pearlescent-white silver that is charming against the dark-toned wood.
The Oboe was voiced by David Teitelbaum of Laubin fame. It has a clear, dark, and open sound. The oboe is easy to blow. The wood produces a clean and warm timbre.
This Oboe was serviced and sold by Peter Hurd, a professional in the field of Oboes and Bassoons, so I can guarantee it is an instrument of high quality.
