Rare Vintage Zuni Fetish Carved Large Stone Frog By Rosalia Quam (d)

Description

Rosalia Quam (d) carved large stone frog with turquoise eyes and 9 turquoise stones on back.
I am quite sure this is dolomite.
Rosalia Quam (1941-1989) married to Andrew Emerson Quam (d)
In the mid 1970's Rosalia started making stand alone fetishes. She created a wide variety
of animals including frogs,owls,horses,turtles and bears. While her frogs were bulbous, her
other carvings were sharply angular.
Condition is excellent....no chips or cracks...very large specimen.
Comes from a smoke free home.
Size is 2 7/8 in. long......... 1 3/4 in. wide......approx. 3/4 in. tall
