    Description

    Small primitive anvil, probably used by a jeweler, maybe a gunsmith or blacksmith.
    Appears to be made of cast brass or bronze (a magnet does not stick to it).
    Overall 3 9/16" long, 1 11/16" tall.
    Face is 2 1/16" x 3/4".
    Base is 1 7/8" x 1 1/2".
    Horn is 1 1/2" long.
    Overall in nice primitive condition, no cracks or repairs.  Casting seams on top, sides and bottom.
    Face surface is uneven because of the casting seams.
    Some pitting, possibly from the casting process.
