    Description

This is a stunning bull moose that Zuni Maxx Laate carved from elk antler.  The horns on this moose are the part of the antler that emerges from the head of the elk.  This part of the elk antler naturally forms the outline of the moose antler on the carving.  This moose has his head turned, he is looking over his back and behind him.  This moose has inlaid turquoise cabochon eyes.  The feet and legs of the moose emerge from the antler base of the carving revealing the natural rough edges of the elk antler.  Maxx carved this moose with wonderful wide and tall antlers typical of a moose in the wild.  Maxx's game animals are so realistic, this moose is a perfect example of that realism.
A moose is an animal of spontaneity and unpredictability.
This carving is large and is 6 1/4" tall, 3 1/2" long and 2 1/2" wide.  The base of the carving is 1 1/4" long and 1 5/8" wide.  Maxx signed the bottom of the base with his hallmark, his first name.  Please add me to your list of favorite eBay sellers.  And check out the other Native American art that I am auctioning on eBay now.
