    Description

    What a wonderful Boulder opal bear from Zuni Pueblo carver, Maxx Laate.  Zuni Maxx Laate carved this bear from Boulder Opal.  A Boulder Opal bear is delightful because of the color of the base stone and because of the opal highlights in the form of a cross  along his back and down his sides. This Boulder Opal is from Australia.  I bought it for Maxx to carve so that I can offer these stunning pieces on eBay.  This carving is 1 1/8"
    tall, 1 5/8" long and 7/8" thick.
    A bear is an animal of strength and introspection.  A bear has the power of the soul.  A bear lightens emotional burdens.
    Maxx signed the bottom of the base with his hallmark, his first name.
